Laura Enríquez Rodríguez, ITAM alumna, elected as the first female president of INFO CDMX

We congratulate Laura Lizette Enríquez Rodríguez, alumna of the Political Science Undergraduate Program at ITAM, for her historic election as president of the Institute of Transparency, Access to Public Information, Protection of Personal Data and Accountability of Mexico City (INFO CDMX). This appointment marks a milestone in the 18 years of the Institute’s existence, for being the first woman to hold the position, for the 2024-2027 period.

During the forty-first regular session of the guarantor body, the Plenary approved her appointment through free and secret vote, backing her Work Plan focused on the institutional strengthening, internal governance and consolidation of the substantial activity of INFO CDMX. Her management will officially commence on November 14th 2024, succeeding the current president, Arístides Rodrigo Guerrero García.

Laura Enríquez Rodríguez has an outstanding career of over 15 years in the public sector. In addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from ITAM, she has Master’s Degree in Applied Public Management from ITESM and a PhD in Public Administration from Universidad Anahuac. 

In her message after being elected, Laura Lizette mentioned her commitment with human rights defense, constructive dialogue and collaborative construction. She pointed out that her management will not be a personal project, but a collective effort in favor of the protected rights by INFO CDMX for the benefit of the capital’s society. 

We wish her the biggest of success in this significant challenge and we acknowledge her contribution to the strengthening of Mexico City’s institutions.
